Limbo is a 2D puzzle-platform video game developed by independent studio Playdead. It has been praised for its aesthetics and even considered an example of video games as an art form. The Sound Design, by Martin Stig Andersen, is remarkable and very effective: the minimalist approach sets the general lonely and surrealistic feeling of the game, leaving space for the player's fantasy.A form of acousmatic music has been created using sound effects from the game itself, becoming somehow recognisable and abstract at the same time.It is a simply great game.

The Stanley parable, by Davey Wreden, is an interactive video game, initially born as a free modification of Half -Life 2, and later remade in better quality. The game is really simple to play, but the consequences of the choices made by the player can lead to several different outcomes and endings. This game is a great example of interactive story-telling, and it touches important topics such as the nature of choice and predestination in video games.

Passage is a small game developed by Jason Rohrer in 2007, and it is an important element in the debate of video games as an art form. It is sometimes not considered a proper video game, as much as it is considered a piece of art.The whole experience lasts only 5 minutes, but can make you think about it for much longer. It is definitely worth giving it a go.

As a player I have always loved RPGs and open-worlds. Customisable characters and big maps to explore have always been an appealing element to me. Another thing that attracts me is the ability to influence the story through the gameplay. Some of the video games I love: The Elder Scroll Series, The Witcher, Dishonored, Final Fantasy series.
